Simplifying the complexities of healthcare for consumer audiences is one of the things I do best. I create educational, empowering content that helps consumers be more engaged in their own health, wellness and decision-making, often by telling stories of people’s personal experiences. I develop content for all media, with an emphasis on health literacy and consumer outreach. My expertise includes wellness and prevention, public education, patient decision aids, disease management, research advances and health reform.

I’m proud to work with some of the leading organizations in healthcare and evidence-based information, such as Consumer Reports for their Choosing Wisely campaign and the American Foundation for the Blind. Other clients I’ve served include Johns Hopkins Medicine, Cleveland Clinic, Kaiser Permanente, the Institute for Functional Medicine and Mark Hyman, M.D. In 2014, MICHUHCAN (Michigan Universal Health Care Access Network) honored me with a Health Care Hero award for my advocacy through social media, education and storytelling.
